We have been here twice. First time 5 years ago and now on our passing trip to Bali. The food and service have always been excellent. We especially like oysters and here they are impeccable. This time, I had a slightly different opinion about how the classic steak tartare should be seasoned. Apparently Singaporean tartar is seasoned more to suit Asian tastes. However, the staff took great care of my little pickiness. I can warmly recommend this restaurant to everyone who appreciates particularly good food.

Starters - The variety of breads were excellent Oysters - A must order when you are here. There were 3 flavours and we were delighted with all three DB Burger - Highlight of the restaurant. A perfect burgers with melt in your mouth flavours. Highly recommended Molten lava cake - Just the right amount of sweetness and an oh so tender texture. Definitely one the best desserts I have tried. The accompanying fries were excellent as well

Brought my boyfriend to this restaurant for dinner celebration today. Was greeted and served by waitress Olivia and she provided superb service. We were also surprised by the restaurant for a complimentary birthday dessert. It was an amazing day here, really enjoyed the food and ambience!

Decided to celebrate our colleagues birthday there. 1. Order my steak medium rare with mushroom soup but they delivered medium well / well done. The soup was too salty too. 2. They decided to change my steak. However, the replacement steak was done slightly better BUT it was so heavily coated with black pepper that you cannot even taste the meat or juice. All my colleagues complained about the heavy usage of black pepper in there steak too. Dont think I will go back there anytime soon. Not worth the money we paid for our dinner.

Is a great place to chill. The ambience is relaxing, dimly lighted. Service crews asre well trained, very polite and attentive. They have good selection of French wines. The oysters were very fresh, with different country of origins, one of the best in town. Lobster bisque soup was thick and good. Portion was huge. Good to share so to keep room for others. The rest of the food was ok for me except for the madeleine, which was very good.

The dining experience at DB is simply astounding. The oysters are exceptionally fresh and delicious! Johnny, the sommelier, demonstrated exceptional expertise in pairing wines with the food, and his recommendations were truly perfect. His suggestions enhanced the entire dining experience, making it richer and more enjoyable. Additionally, Olivier's service was outstanding; her professionalism and warmth contributed to a comfortable dining atmosphere. Overall, it was an unforgettable journey through French cuisine.

DB Bistro food is quite similar to Lavo, so was a bit confused on what I had before. Tried the French Onion soup, love it that its so cheesy . Escargot itself is quite tasteless and I didn’t like the puff that comes with it as it smelt too buttery. Coq Au Vin is not bad, soft and tender chicken meat. Quite disappointing grilled veg, had much better ones at another Italian restaurant 😜. Brussels sprout passed with quite big chuck of bacon which surprisingly not those too salty type. Seared foie gras served with filet mignon, but they were quite nice to change the beef as we find it too well done, instead of medium raw. And of course the warm soft madeleine is a must. Service has always been impeccable in most MBS establishments, so no complains.

We visited the place 3 times. The first time, the service was spotless. We had an excellent terrine with pistachio, and tuna tartare. The lobster roll followed happily with the steak tartare, but I have to say I am very conservative with my steak tartare, the ketchup wasn’t a great touch. The second time we had just a burger, the meat was a bit raw but I just couldn’t atop thinking about the bun that was similar to airplane bun they give you. Hot at start, then dry after few minutes. For the moules frites, no need to say it was tasty and fresh. The third time I had one coq au vin, a shocking disappointment, it was more like a steam chicken with gravy red wine sauce when it should be like a drunken chicken!! Overall go for the seafood they handle the products better.
